CHRISTMAS DAY - Cal's 1st Christmas

The boys woke up around 7 a.m. to find that Santa had left presents under our tree. Rhett got Gorilla Mountain, a Sea Animal Encyclopedia game, a Leapster with Cars and Ratatoulli games, the movie Wall-E, and an orange scorpion in his stocking. Avery got a Screaming Banchee from Cars, the Piggy Car from Cars, a learning lap top, the movie Horton Hears a Who, and a Nemo cup in his stocking. Cal opened up a game table, and several toys for him to play with on the floor. Later, the boys will bake a cake for Jesus's Birthday.

Christmas Eve

We went to our church service at Crossroads with my parentds and Grandma Smith, then came back to the house and made cookies for Santa, ate cereal, popcorn, toast, drank hot chocolate, and watched Ice Age.

CHRISTMAS at Grandma Mary's

On Tuesday, Dec. 23rd, we celebrated Christmas with Jenny's family in Fort Wayne. We had a good time, opened presents, and played "White Elephant" bingo. The boys liked their gifts. I really enjoyed the food! :) Because of the freezing rain, we decided to spend the night. After everyone left, we got ready for bed, and then the power went out!!! We got up Christmas Eve morning and headed home.

GREAT WOLF LODGE, Sandusky, OH

On Monday, Dec. 21st, we traveled with the Kretz family to Sandusky, OH and spent the night at Great Wolf Lodge. This place was a lot of fun. It had indoor pools, water slides, tree house, lazy river, and hot tubs. The boys had a blast. We will definitely have to go back in the future. Avery has bugged us every hour since we have left, saying "Can we go back to Great Wolf Lodge?"

SANTA CLAUS!!!

We took the boys to see Santa tonight. They were excited and Rhett was jumping up and down with nervous energy while Avery walked right up to Santa, like he would, with a non-chalant demeanor and handed him his coat saying, "Here you go Santa!" Cal wasn't sure what to think. Anyway...Rhett asked for Spike the Dinosaur, Avery asked for the "Piggy" car from the movie Cars, and Cal wants formula and Sweet Potato Puffs!

After walking through Target and seeing the Night Vision goggles Rhett wants for Christmas, he panicked and demanded we go back to tell Santa. Little does he know, Santa already has them packed up in his sleigh! :)

Fun weekend!!!

Jenny and I enjoyed a "date night" last night as we traveled to Indy to see "A Christmas Carol" at IRT. We enjoyed our time together watching the play and shopping in the gift shop, where everything was $1 or less! We followed up the play with a nice dinner at the Palomino. Thanks to my parents, the boys spent the night at Grandma and Grandpa Berryman's house.

Today, we finished up our Christmas shopping before heading off to Lafayette with the Kretz's. We took our families to Pizza King, a live Nativity scene, and Christmas lights in Rossville. Tomorrow it is off to church, Colt's football, and house cleaning!

Crazy kids!!!

Because of the snow, the kids are out of control. Here are some pics!

The First Snow!!!!

We woke up this morning to a beautiful snow. This is our backyard. We love the scenic view! We received 2 inches of snow and may get another 2-3 by tomorrow morning. The kids are excited!!!

Thanksgiving

On Wednesday, Nov. 26th, we attended Rhett's preschool Thanksgiving Feast and program. Once again, Rhett rocked the house with his singing ability...kidding. He has a habit of standing still and making faces instead of singing.

That evening, we drove to Ft. Wayne and went downtown for the Santa appearance and lighting. Uncle Spencer, Nicole, Emma, and Zach all rode on the firetruck with Santa while we watched. That night, we spent the night at Uncle Spencer and Aunt Julie's before going to Grandma Mary's for Thanksgiving Day.

Berkley's 5th Birthday

On November 21st and 22nd, we spent time at Uncle Scott and Aunt Jaime's house in Hebron, KY. We were in town for Berkley's 5th b-day party. We celebrated her birthday at the local YMCA where Jaime works, and the kids had a blast. The boys had fun playing with Rylie, Berkley, and Piper while I had fun wrestling with Stone and putting him in the Russian pretzel hold.

Grandma Smith's 90th Birthday Party

On Nov. 16th, the family gathered to celebrate Grandma Smith's 90th birthday. We hung out with grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. And, we wore our Colts gear and took advantage of a photo opportunity.

Rhett's Birthday

Rhett recently celebrated his 5th birthday with family and friends. He got lots of cool toys and books, and he loved his cake with a fish on it. This pic is of Rhett and Avery blowing out the candles with cousin, Stone, looking on.

Welcome to the Berryman's Blogspot

We hope to keep family and friends informed in what we are up to as a family, plus include some stories, pictures, and funny quotes from the boys!
