Today, we received 3-4 inches of snow and took advantage of the weather. After an early morning trip to Target for snow boots for Cal and Jenny, and a couple new sleds, we spent a couple hours sledding down the hills of the back yard.

Fall Harvest at Acacia
In Novemeber, Rhett's school hosted the 2nd annual Acacia Fall Harvest dinner. The students prepared an excellent beef stew, corn bread, and cookies. The students also sang songs and acted out skits for all of the families in attendance. Grandma Marry, Grandma Becky and Grandpa Kenny, and our family attended.
Guatemala Missions Trip
Jenny went on a missions trip to Casa Bernabe orphanage on the outskirts of Guatamala City, Guatemala from October 29th-Nov. 2nd. She joined our neighbor, Paula Davis, friend Amy Kretz, and others from our church. They painted rooms, took new bedding down with them, gave the 100 school-aged kids school supplies and back packs, threw pizza parties for the older kids, and assisted with the babbies and toddlers. Jenny brought back presents for all of us. I can't wait to use my new hammock!
Atlanta Braves - Brandon Beachy #37
On October 1st, Jenny and I drove to Atlanta to watch one of my former players, Brandon Beachy, make his 3rd big league start on the mound vs. the Philadelphia Phillies. Brandon threw very well, but took the loss due to defensive difficulties (3 errors). After the game, Jenny and I joined his family under the stadium and hung out with Brandon before turning in for the night. It was impressive to watch a former All-State thirdbaseman pitch against the best team in the National League in front of 51,000+!
