On Sunday, June 21st, we celebrated Avery's 4th Birthday!!! He received several presents, mostly toys from the movie, Cars. We ate pizza, had ice cream cake, and Rhett, Avery, and Kelsey Metz played on Avery's new water slide. Tonight we will stay at Aunt Heather and Uncle Brian's so we can catch our 7 am flight to Florida tomorrow morning. Good times!
On Thursdays, we take the boys to a community program called "Coyote Run." The boys will run 1/4 mile, get a ribbon, and a popsickle. Afterwards, we stopped by my parents with ice cream and the kids ate it outside. Piper fed Cal some ice cream and they became life-long buddies.
Today, Rhett and Avery got up from their naps after church and had a good time playing in their Nemo sprinkler. Rhett sported his new swim trunks and Avery had his trunks on backwards and gave the neighbors a show as he could not keep them up!
On Saturday, June 13th, Jenny and I attended the Cubs/Twins game with Steve and Meg Bagby. We sat on top of an apartment building across the street. It was a unique experience and a fun day catching up with Steve and Meg.
On May 16th, we joined Uncle Scott and Rylie and Berkley at Mississinewa State Park for some camping fun. The kids hiked on some trails, ate burgers and hot dogs, and danced around the fire. Rhett broke out the air guitar again, it seems to be his go to move on the dance floor.
As dad came home from practice on Friday, May 15th, the boys were out in the drive playing. Rhett and Avery were riding bikes, playing ball, etc. Cal was chilling in the red wagon. Not sure what avery was thinking while on his big wheel, but one thing was for sure, he was in his own world...like usual!
On May 9th, Rhett graduated from 2 years of preschool at Chapel Hill Church. We are proud of the growth he has made...from an undisciplined energetic boy to a more disciplined energetic boy!
