Cal's 1st Hair Cut

On August 15th, we finally gave in and cut Cal's hair (actually Jenny finally gave in). Cal's girl curls were cut off and he finally looked like a little boy!!!

Rhett's 1st Day of Kindergarten

Today was Rhett's 1st day of school and the 1st time he ever road a bus. He was accompanied by his friend, Audrey Koetter, to and from school (they will ride the bus together all year). Both Jenny and Amanda (Audrey's mom) were very emotional this morning when the kids got on the bus. When they both got off the bus, Rhett and Audrey told us of having fun day at school, but they were tired. Jenny said Rhett gave her the biggest hug he has ever given when he got off the bus. Avery had a rough day without his buddy. It was the 1st time ever that Avery was without his big brother for a long period of time.

Small Group Party

On Saturday, August 8th, we hosted an end of the summer get together with our Small Group. We grilled out, played corn hole, went fishing, ate some more, then went to Scoops to get some ice cream. We had a blast hanging out and the kids really enjoyed the slip and slide (as did Amy and Jenny!).

A Night of Male Bonding

On Thursday, August 6th, the boys and I spent a lot of quality time together since mommy had to help with orientation all day. We watched some movies, played around the yard and house, and the boys took a bath together. This may be the last bath together because they are getting too big!

Ft. Wayne Zoo

On August 1st, Jenny and the boys went to the Ft. Wayne Zoo with Grandma Mary, Aunt Angie, and cousin Scotty. They had a lot of fun hanging around Scotty, and seeing the various animals.

On July 31st, Jenny and the boys had fun playing in a park in Ft. Wayne, then going back to Grandma Mary's to hang out. Cal and Grandma tooled around on the tricycle, Cal bummed a ride with Avery, and Rhett had some intense converations with Grandma about his animals.

Chilling with Beth and the kids at Lake Taylor

On Thursday, July 30th, Jenny and the boys stopped in Upland to see Beth and family. The kids had a good time splashing around Lake Taylor while Beth and Jenny caught up. They ran into long time friend, Leslie, while at the Lake.

Fun Day with Lola and Finn

On July 21st, my HS friend David Railey drove up from Bloomington with his son, Finn, to join us (along with Adam, Tammy, and Lola) for a fun day with the kids. Finn really hit it off witht he boys and they all had a blast riding the gator, running through the Nemo sprinkler, and sliding down a hill on our slip and slide. Later in the evening, Dave, Adam, and I had a good time catching up in the man cave while Jenny and Tammy talked about girl stuff upstairs. We had a good time!
