Today, we got up bright and early to travel to IWU to watch Carlos play soccer. Between games, we went to Matter Parker in Marion so the boys could play.

The Haulter's Visit
Last week, we had a good time hanging out with Adam, Tammie, and Lola...our friends from Seattle. We spent several evening together just hanging out, playing Monopoly, Toss Up, and making runs to Starbucks. Also, we enjoyed a nice date night together in Indy as we went downtown to the RAM and hit up Coldstone for some ice cream. Pictures will be added soon.

Coyote Kids
On Thursday, we took the boys to Jackson Marrow Park for the weekly Coyote Kid's Run. The boys did a very good job running their heats. Cal won his heat for 2 years olds. Rhett dropped 20 seconds off his last time and placed 8th out of approximately 40 runners between the ages of 5-8 years old. Avery once again won his race, winning by more than 5 seconds over the 2nd place runner.. He has won each of his weekly runs. Before the race, Avery told us he was in a bad mood and was going to lose. Then, as he started the race, his competitive nature kicked in. After the race, he said in an arrogant tone, "Dad, I can beat any 5 year old here!" Looks like we have something to work on. It's nice to take part in a free running program like Coyote Kid's. We would have never known that Avery has the determination that he does.
Family Fun at the Park
10th Anniversary
Jenny and I flew to Florida for our 10th Anniversary. We spent 5 days at Redington Beach and stayed with Jenny's sister, Joanna, and her husband Kent, aka "Kenny." We went out for breakfast, went to the beach, and hung out around the pool daily. We mixed in some fresh seafood, shopping, a couple of sunsets and ice cream cones, and a Tampa Bay Rays game. It was nice to get away from the kids and slow things down. We enjoyed our visit with Joanna and Kent, and our ability to kick back and relax for a few days.

Summer Pics
Rhett and Avery opened up a "Donation Stand" in the driveway ass Rhett decided he wanted to raise money for the Kokomo Urban Outreach group. His goal is to raise $100. So far, he has raised nearly $40. Below is a picture of the sign he made and posted it in the driveway. Also, I've included a couple pictures of Rhett playing Rookie Ball.
